On September 26, the ATA hosted educational leaders from the Teacher Education Directorate of Afghanistan. The visiting educators and ATA staff discussed models of preservice teacher education, teacher certification, the ATA’s role in the profession and its work with external agencies. The group met with officials from Alberta Education and visited with members of the Afghan community in Edmonton and Calgary.
